Cartridge Development:

At the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, all armies began to transition to rifles using centerfire rifle cartridges with grooved bases.

In the USA, the .30-06 Springfield cartridge was developed in 1906 to replace and standardize the cartridge for all branches of the United States military. It replaced cartridges like the .30-3, .30-40 Krag, and 6mm Lee Navy. Initially used in Springfield 1903 rifles, it later found application in .30 caliber machine guns and M1 Garand rifles. Today, it is still used in various sports disciplines and remains a popular hunting cartridge, produced by nearly all ammunition manufacturers in multiple bullet configurations for specific purposes.
 

Cartridge Composition and Design:

Loaded with smokeless powder, it is manufactured with a wide range of bullet types by major ammunition manufacturers, including target, hunting, soft point, and plastic-tipped bullets. Almost exclusively, brass cartridge cases are used.

The keychain hanger is lathe-turned from brass and securely crimped into the base of the cartridge case around the primer area, ensuring the waterproofness of the keychain and distinguishing it from most similar products.

Brass parts can be polished using a brass surface restoration agent, such as Sidol.
