Cartridge Development:

The 7.62x25mm Tokarev is a pistol cartridge developed in the Soviet Union in the 1920s. It was designed to modernize military high-performance ammunition for use in pistols. This cartridge was specially crafted for the Tokarev TT-33 pistol, the standard sidearm of the Red Army during World War II, and is very similar to the 7.63 Mauser cartridge.

The 7.62x25mm Tokarev excelled in high muzzle velocity and effectiveness at medium range. It was also capable of penetrating light ballistic vests, a significant innovation at the time. It was used in the military, police, and by civilians.

Cartridge Composition and Manufacture:

The real 7.62x25mm Tokarev cartridge is characterized by using smokeless powder and a brass casing. Its powder loading emphasizes achieving optimal ballistic properties, ensuring accuracy and shooting reliability. It is mostly loaded with FMJ bullets with either lead or steel cores.

Construction of the Keychain and How to Care for It?

The keychain loop is machined from brass and firmly pressed into the base of the casing at the primer position, ensuring waterproofing and distinguishing it from most similar competing products. The lacquered parts can be polished using lacquer-specific products or universal polishes.
