Development of the Cartridge:

The 7.62x25mm Tokarev was developed in the Soviet Union in 1930 as a powerful pistol and submachine gun cartridge, derived from the 7.63x25mm Mauser. Initially adopted for use in the TT-33 Tokarev pistol, this cartridge offered increased velocity and penetration over its predecessor, making it a formidable choice for military applications. Known for its rimless, bottleneck design, the Tokarev cartridge quickly became a standard in Soviet and Eastern Bloc armories, widely used until it was gradually replaced by the 9x18mm Makarov in later years.

Despite being dimensionally similar to the Mauser cartridge, the Tokarev cartridge’s increased pressure and power set it apart, making it unsuitable for firearms not specifically designed for its use. Its excellent penetration capabilities enabled it to easily defeat lighter ballistic vests and certain types of protective headgear, making it a preferred choice for special units even after its primary service era.

The necklace clasp is machined from brass and securely crimped into the base of the cartridge at the primer position, ensuring the pendant's waterproofness, distinguishing it from most similar competing products. Brass and coppered components can be polished with brass-specific treatments such as Brasso. Lacquered parts can be cleaned with wet wipes.
