About the 7.65x53 Argentine Cartridge

Cartridge Development:

The 7.65x53 Argentine, also known as 7.65 mm Mauser, was first introduced in 1889 for the Belgian army. This cartridge was Mauser's first smokeless powder round, widely used in Belgian export rifles, mainly for South America.

Cartridge Composition and Manufacture:

Original loads with a long round-nosed bullet were gradually replaced by modern shaped FMJ bullets for military purposes. Today, it is manufactured for target shooting with historic firearms using FMJ bullets, and for hunting with SP, SPCE, or brand-specific bullets.
