The 7.92x57 JS cartridge, also known as the 8mm Mauser, is a rimless, bottlenecked rifle cartridge that was introduced by Imperial Germany in 1905. It became one of the most widely used military cartridges in the world and saw action in both World Wars. In modern times, the cartridge remains popular in both Europe and the United States, where it is produced for civilian use under names like 8x57JS or 8x57IS.

Originally designed for the German army, the 7.92x57 cartridge was known for its range and power, making it a standard for rifles and machine guns like the Mauser 1898 and the MG42. The Czechoslovak army used it until the 1950s, and it was heavily adopted by Yugoslavia, where it remained in use well into the 1980s.

In recent conflicts, such as those in Syria, machine guns chambered for this cartridge have even made reappearances.

This ensures the pendant's waterproof construction and sets it apart from most competing products. The brass components can be polished using brass-specific cleaners, such as Brasso.

The DOG TAG chain is highly durable and can be cleaned with standard cleaning agents without worry.
