Development of the Cartridge:
The 7x64 cartridge is the creation of German ammunition designer Wilhelm Brenneke, who developed it in 1917. He modified the 8x64mm S cartridge and fitted a 7 mm casing to it. This cartridge became very popular and achieved great commercial success, especially in Europe.
Compared to the 7x57 mm Mauser, which was also popular at the time, the 7x64 offers 10 to 12% higher muzzle velocity. This property makes it an ideal choice for hunting medium to large game such as deer or wild boar.
Cartridge Composition and Manufacture:
The 7x64 is also favoured for its accuracy and consistency, crucial for hunters who need to reliably hit targets at long distances. Moreover, this cartridge is available in a wide range of different ammunition types, allowing hunters to tailor their choice of ammunition to the specific situation or type of game. It is produced with all possible hunting bullets such as SP, SPCE, JHP, and others.

Keychain Construction and Care:
The keychain loop is lathe-turned from brass and firmly pressed into the base of the casing at the primer position, ensuring waterproofness and distinguishing it from most competing products. Brass parts can be polished with a brass surface treatment product like Sidol.
